B) We went on to win domestic doubles (winning both league and cup in Egypt that season). C)We went on to win the African Champions League for THE FOLLOWING TWO YEARS. D)We went on to win a Bronze medal at the FIFA Club World Cup the very next year (after both defeats). E)We began record-breaking winning streaks after both defeats in Africa (current streak since the 5-2 loss, has now spanned nearly 2 years and today reached 26 games undefeated) ,a new African record. So, the strategy of only playing Al Ahly in searing midday heat and humidity (and at 3 pm, knowing ALL Ahly games are at night usually) hasn't really worked. It does deliver eye-catching results, but has yet to add any actual trophies or glory to Sundowns... All it seems to do is enrage Al Ahly and propell them to Continental and even global glory.. So, losing (with a high score) is now actually cause for much optimism...the facts don't lie 🙂
